This set is better than most RF detectors due to its generic interchangeable probes. It has good seeking properties in and around its receiving range, both low down in the audio RF common bug transmitting frequencies and high up in and around 2.5GHz spy cam primary transmitting frequency. In fact this countermeasures set is more than a basic collection of probes for the novice, if used with experience it is a very complete system for sniffing out most eavesdropping or transmitting devices. Personally I have used this kit a number of times and it compares very well to a similar receiver which costs around £3,800. Obviously the procedure for operation is different than for example a RF de bugger such as audio tel equipment, but overall the results from the CMS-11 are really something to be admired for the price. I would think this is the best comprehensive kit on the market today.
This set is not to be treated lightly as a tool for beginners to the contrary if the CMS-11 is used by somebody with experience it becomes a very powerful counter measures rival for detecting most RF frequencies within its capacity.
The CMS-11 is also very good for beginners and the principle of the TD-53 become very obvious within a few minutes of using the set. This is due to its geiger counter like detection properties, the closer to a transmitting device the faster the audible tones and so on.
